Over the next couple of weeks we would like to offer our vendors some tips on how to be successful at the market.
-- Be Creative with your Booth --
What you do with your 10 foot x 10 foot booth space will largely determine if market patrons will stop and buy your product or not. First come up with a name for your booth. Then display that name so everyone passing by will see it and remember it. We have found that patrons come back to the market, sometimes weeks later, and want to find a certain vendor. You need to help them find you again. Then come up with a design/style for your booth. For example, if your style is vintage find some old picture frames to display prices in, go on-line to find examples of how to display or stage your products. Stay consistant with your booth design. Don't be vintage and new-age all at the same time. Your products are the star of your booth. Display them in a way that will make them as appealing as possible.
